About Twin Creeks Farm
Twin Creeks Farm offers 100% grass fed beef and lamb that are naturally corn & soy free. They are rotationally grazed on fresh pasture from May through November, and fed the farm’s naturally grown hay and natural minerals.
Twin Creeks Farm’s pastured pork and poultry are also naturally corn & soy free, and grown on pasture, and supplemented with their own naturally grown hay, mixed grains, vegetables, and natural minerals.
The farm does not use any synthetics, antibiotics or hormones in their animals. All the feed is grown without any harmful chemicals, fertilizers, animal by-products, or GMO’s.
Why Grass Fed?
Since grass fed meat is often lean and contains only natural fats, it is healthy and full of flavour.
Grass fed beef & lamb, and pastured pork & poultry are more nutritious compared to most beef, lamb, and pork, and is significantly higher in:
- Omega-3 fatty acids
- CLA (conjugated linoleic acid)
- Vitamin E (up to 4 times higher)
- Beta Carotene
- Vitamins A & D
The farm’s vegetables are grown on 5+ acres as they continue to grow a diverse range of high quality and nutritious produce using organic and sustainable growing methods. By rotating crops and livestock, adding compost and plant matter, applying natural soil amendments such as lime, greensand, peat, kelp, and mulch, etc. the soil is improved each year, increasing amounts of earthworms and beneficial microbes.
Their organic vegetables include a diverse range of mainly ‘heirloom’ varieties including lettuce/greens, peas, spinach, radish, beans, beets, carrots, green onions, potatoes, swiss chard, zucchini, pak choy, summer squash, cucumbers, dill, tomatoes, basil, sweet corn, peppers, broccoli, cauliflower, cabbage, parsnips, onions, leek, turnips, winter squash, kale, Brussels sprouts, pumpkins, and melons.
